If you're serious about developing speed, quickness, reaction time, and staying injury-free then I suggest you read this information because your SUCCESS as an athlete depends on it!
Re-Think How You Train! ...Because You are doing it Wrong! Did you know these shocking facts: • 3.5 million athletes under the age of 14 receive medical treatment for sports injuries each year • 2 million injuries are sustained annually by U.S. high school athletes • 50% of all sports injuries to middle school and high school students are attributed to overuse This is a Big PROBLEM ...But it's not your Fault! Coaches just can't keep up with the latest information in injury prevention, progression variations and speed training. Season after season, the same drills and workouts are given and none of them are customized for you! The Key to developing speed is having a proven system that actually DEVELOPS Speed! Now you are probably asking yourself, "Can speed be taught?" or "What if I am not the most talented athlete?" Some of the most often questions I get are: "How can I react quicker?" "...Move more explosively?" "...Get to the ball faster?" |

SPEED TRAINING SECRET #1: Speed Demands Coordination.
Speed is a highly complex motor skill that requires total body coordination for maximal output. The arm swing must coordinate with the leg drive and the core must be stable to maximize the force applied into the ground at the optimal angle with every foot strike. The coaches who think speed is all genetic and say “speed can’t be taught” are the same coaches who don’t understand the concept of speed as a coordinated skill.
You practice the skills of your sport everyday, so you should be practicing the coordination and biomechanics of speed everyday as well. In most land sports you are running and changing direction much more often than you are actually in contact with the ball. And one thing I can promise, no matter how skilled your athletes are, they can't win a ball that they can't get to.
